The Great Kindness Challenge is a proactive and positive
bullying prevention initiative that improves school climate and
increases student engagement. The Great Kindness Challenge is one week devoted to performing as many acts of kindness as possible. Vista shows the world that KINDNESS MATTERS!

Congratulations to the Students of November! By working hard, attending Zoom meetings, and supporting other students, they help make Vista a great school. Even though we would all like to be back to normal, these students of November continue to keep a positive and friendly outlook.

The Students of October followed the Colt ABCD's and work very hard at being positive and determined the Vista way. Each student received a "Vista Bag" filled with treats for their hard work, good attendance and kind attitude. Thank you Students of October!!

Good News! We are now able to open our Backpack Buddies Facility and invite you and your student(s) to come and receive shoes, socks, and undergarments, as well as a new scholastic, age-appropriate book, and an aluminum water bottle. As you probably know, due to COVID-19, a decision was made to keep everyone safe, so during this year’s Backpack Buddies Events, held in July and August, we were unable to distribute these items to the students. Please know that during our December Event we will take every precaution to keep everyone safe, this will include temp checks, mandatory masks, and social distancing.

Red Ribbon Week was designed to create an awareness concerning the problems related to the use of tobacco, alcohol, and other drugs. Red Ribbon week started in 1985 as a means of honoring DEA agent Enrique Camarena, who lost his life in the line of duty. Today, Red Ribbon Week is a time for school and communities across the nation to come together in the fight against drugs. At Vista we will be doing activities that focus on the many aspects of Health and Safety.

Happy October! This month we will celebrate Red Ribbon week, have parent zoom conferences, and fall break! Don't forget to schedule your parent teacher conferences so you can meet via zoom with our amazing teachers! Please help to ensure all student receive free breakfast and lunch by turning in your INCOME VERIFICATION FORM. Each Friday we will draw a name of a student who has turned in their form for a free McDonalds treat!!!
