Vista Colorado Elementary

With the increasing number of COVID cases in our area and to keep our community healthy, all students are on distance learning at least until 1/25/21.   Needles Unified is continually tracking COVID numbers to make informed and safe decisions about reopening our schools. Please continue to complete assignments in Pearson and attend Zoom meetings with your teachers. Grab and Go Meals are on Wednesdays from 11:00-1:00 in the cafeteria parking lot.  Report cards were sent out his week.  Technology Help Line: 760-903-3875

To help accommodate families with siblings Vista has changed the time for fourth and fifth grade cohorts A and B to 9:00-11:30am. Vista's staff appreciates your patience at drop off and pick up times. We are working to help families with wait time, while keeping your children safe and healthy.

The Students of October followed the Colt ABCD's and work very hard at being positive and determined the Vista way. Each student received a "Vista Bag" filled with treats for their hard work, good attendance and kind attitude. Thank you Students of October!!

Legacy Connection presents the 2020 BHHS Legacy Foundation’s Backpack Buddies “Dress Kids for Success”

Dear Parents/Guardians,
Good News! We are now able to open our Backpack Buddies Facility and invite you and your student(s) to come and receive shoes, socks, and undergarments, as well as a new scholastic, age-appropriate book, and an aluminum water bottle. As you probably know, due to COVID-19, a decision was made to keep everyone safe, so during this year’s Backpack Buddies Events, held in July and August, we were unable to distribute these items to the students. Please know that during our December Event we will take every precaution to keep everyone safe, this will include temp checks, mandatory masks, and social distancing.

Red Ribbon Week

Red Ribbon Week was designed to create an awareness concerning the problems related to the use of tobacco, alcohol, and other drugs. Red Ribbon week started in 1985 as a means of honoring DEA agent Enrique Camarena, who lost his life in the line of duty. Today, Red Ribbon Week is a time for school and communities across the nation to come together in the fight against drugs. At Vista we will be doing activities that focus on the many aspects of Health and Safety.
